Pakistani Hindu Migrants

According to some news reports in different newspapers in the year 2014, pointed out that around 1000 Hindu families from Pakistan migrated to Delhi and are living in small clusters in different parts of Delhi, mainly around Rohini, Majnu ka Tila, Bij wasan.

The news articles further pointed out that the said families are living in the most unhygienic and unhealthy conditions and despite authorities having full knowledge and awareness about the conditions of the migrants, have not taken any effective measure to provide them with even bare minimum necessities of life.

In this context Hum Hindu Filed a Writ Petition No 367 /2015 in the High Court of Delhi at New Delhi with below said prayers.

Issue a Writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to make proper arrangements for shelter, food, electricity, water and employment for migrants from Pakistan who are living in small clusters in different parts of Delhi till the time their applications for grant of citizenship is pending before the government.

EFFECT OF HUM HINDU: UNION OF INDIA GAVE UNDERTAKING TO THE HON’BLE COURT ABOUT PROPER MANAGEMENT OF PAKISTANI HINDU REFUGEE ( MIGRANTS) AND THEIR PERMANENT CITIZENSHIP IN INDIA, AND UOI GAVE CITIZENSHIP MORE THAN 500 FAMILIES IN JUNE 2015.
